Orange celebrated its 25th F.O.O.D Week in April with ten days packed with events showcasing the region, its produce and the chefs who use these ingredients to create the most incredible dishes. As well as enjoying the company of locals and visitors to the area, who travelled out to the Stockman’s Ridge cellar door to taste and purchase our wines, we were thrilled to host an event L’Amour de la France – a day of lawn games and French inspired food by celebrated chef Michael Manners. Blessed with perfect weather, the day went without a hitch and with a wine in hand, guests enjoyed games of giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, Noughts and Crosses, and ring toss. Inside the marquee, the courses were served and hosts Jonathan Hambrook from Stockman’s Ridge Wines and chef Michael Manners shared stories from their trips to France. The day ended with the lighting of the firepits and final sips of wine before the drive home. We look forward to our next events and would like any suggestions regarding future F.O.O.D Week activities. Please email us your ideas
