Angus Cattle
Cattle have been run on the property since early 2003 but it was not until mid 2004 that our first pure Angus cattle were purchased. It was the success and the quality shown in the breed on the property that cemented their long term future at Stockman's Ridge.
With the purchase of more Angus cows in mid 2005 along with the birth of our first calves it was decided that producing high quality Angus cattle was well with in our reach. 'Dozer' the bull as he has been nicknamed was purchased in mid to late 2005, he is pictured above. He will be the showcase of our breeding program while he is run with about 8 breeding cows producing a minimum of 20 pure Angus calves per year. Most of the year the property will support about 10-16 head of cattle and the pastures are improved yearly with grasses, clover and Lucerne.
