We will be attending the Bathurst Region Farmers markets held the 4th Saturday of the Month.
The Bathurst Region Farmer's Market is held at Bathurst Showground on the fourth Saturday of each month, 8am - 12 noon unless otherwise stated.
The Bathurst Region Farmer's Market offers the community the opportunity to purchase food, plants and value-added produce directly from the grower/maker. Community awareness of product content of food is increasing at a phenomenal rate. More consumers now wish to know the provenance of their food and gardeners wish to grow plants that are suited to their climate and lifestyle.
Providores sell everything the region has to offer, from fresh meat, cheese, fruit, vegetables and plants. Local producers enjoy the opportunity to interact directly with the consumer as well as by-passing the supermarket chains, gaining a fair price for their products.
In December 2006, Bre&d appointed Angela and Howard Sinclair as Bathurst Region Farmer's Market Managers. As Managers of the Market they are aiming to build upon the previous success of the Market with a goal for long-term sustainability and availability of local, regional and seasonal produce.
